Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Vurny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henrique Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tavares has chosen Devour the Day - Get Out of My Way as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Aldo Vurny has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares misses with a wild combination.
Tavares gets caught napping as Vurny dives in and scores a takedown. Tavares manages to retain guard.
Vurny wants to control from the top but Tavares keeps moving.
Tavares is trying to keep Vurny in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vurny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tavares swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tavares wants to sweep but no luck.
Vurny stops Tavares from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tavares is pulling down on Vurny's head. It's preventing any offense from Vurny, at least for the moment.
Vurny is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Tavares seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vurny stands up over Tavares, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Vurny drops back looking for a leg! Tavares is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tavares manages to kick Vurny off! Vurny jumps back into Tavares's guard.
Vurny content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Tavares is still in real trouble! Can Vurny finish him?
Vurny arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Tavares's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Aldo Vurny!
