Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Calderon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Parker's choice of entrance music: The House of The Rising Sun - The Animals. Felipe Calderon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

21 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Felipe Calderon! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corey Parker! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calderon drives through with a takedown into Parker's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Calderon wants to control from the top but Parker keeps moving. Calderon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Calderon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Parker can't keep his opponent in guard - Calderon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Parker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Calderon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Calderon wants to free his trapped foot but Parker is holding on for dear life with his legs. Calderon is working for a kimura but Parker is defending it quite comfortably.
Calderon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Calderon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Calderon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parker keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Calderon is pressing down on Parker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Parker is holding on for now. Calderon looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Parker puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Calderon tries to roll over but Parker keeps him under control. Parker tries to stand but can't do so whilst Calderon controls his leg. Parker is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The crowd cheers as Parker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Calderon doesn't seem phased though. Calderon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Calderon lands a few punches from side control. Parker is trying to get back to his feet. Calderon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker is not content to let Calderon control the position.

No, Parker has escaped the position, nice work there. Calderon throws an elbow but Parker slips to the side and avoids it well. Calderon wants to control for a moment but Parker uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Calderon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Calderon is landing a low percentage of strikes. Some wild striking there from Calderon.
Felipe Calderon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker blocks a leg kick. Calderon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Parker is fending him off so far but Calderon persists. Nope, Parker circles away and we're back to standing. Calderon blocks a low kick nicely. Calderon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Calderon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Parker makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Calderon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Parker looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Calderon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Calderon throws a leg kick that is checked and Parker counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Parker. Calderon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Parker throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Calderons head. Parker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A combination from Calderon does no damage. A solid leg kick lands there for Parker.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Calderon shoots in but Parker avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felipe Calderon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parker tries to clinch but Calderon moves out of range. Calderon tests Parker's chin there with a solid looking shot. enabling Parker to counter with a crisp jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Calderon fails to land the takedown. Calderon throws a front kick aimed at Parker's knee but Parker avoids it well. Calderon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Parker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Felipe Calderon will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Calderon has his takedown stuffed and Parker counters with a stiff right hand. Calderon shoots in for a takedown but Parker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Calderon throws a head kick but Parker moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parker feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Calderon sprawling to the canvas! Calderon rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Parker finish him?!
Calderon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Parker defends well and Calderon ends up having to push Parker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Calderon has his takedown stuffed and Parker counters with a stiff right hand.
Calderon is rocked! Calderon tries to get into range but Parker steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Calderon! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Parker scores the big KO victory!
