The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Davis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Davis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Smith trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom.

I've been told that Davis has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Smith will probably get the nod.

Davis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Davis looks to score with a jab to the body but Smith is just out of range.
Davis tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith ducks into an uppercut from Davis and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
