Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denis Carpenter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Parker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Denis Carpenter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Parker! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Carpenter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Parker. Parker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carpenter avoids it really well and circles away. Denis Carpenter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Parker. Parker tries to clinch up but Carpenter circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Parker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Carpenter manages to escape and get back to his feet! Parker looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Parker fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Parker. Parker moves to clinch but Carpenter breaks away so Carpenter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Carpenter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carpenter stands up from Parker's guard - Carpenter perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carpenter closes the distance and pushes Parker back into the cage. Carpenter stalling the fight.
The referee is keeping an eye on Carpenter - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Parker looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Carpenter taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Denis Carpenter. Parker with a poor takedown and Carpenter counters with a shoot takedown. Parker fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carpenter is stalling in the full guard.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Parker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carpenter just stands there and leans against the cage. Carpenter is pushing Parker up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Denis Carpenter. Parker shoots in and drives through. Carpenter sprawls well. Parker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carpenter tries to counter by clinching up but Parker breaks away and moves out of range. Parker takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Carpenter moves into range and clinches up with Parker. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carpenter tries to land knees in the clinch but Parker avoids the damage to the body. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Parker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carpenter pulls his leg out and moves away.
Parker doesn't succeed with the takedown and Carpenter counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Parker tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Carpenter manages to move to mount!
Parker is breathing heavily. Parker is looking to improve his position but Carpenter isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carpenter controlling his opponent. Carpenter landing strikes, looking to finish! Carpenter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carpenter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Carpenter looking to ground and pound but Parker is blocking nicely. Carpenter fails to advance to Parker's back. Parker tries to lock up and control but Carpenter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Carpenter controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carpenter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Parker for as long as he can get away with. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Parker can't escape the position.
The referee warns Parker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denis Carpenter dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parker. Carpenter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carpenter wants it to stay on the feet. Carpenter throws a head kick that Parker semi-blocks.
A shot to the liver by Parker. Beautiful body shot. Carpenter keeps the fight on the outside. Carpenter throws a big counter combination but Parker scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carpenter paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carpenter shoots for a double leg takedown but Parker sprawls well. He's pushed Carpenter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Parker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Carpenter slaps away a takedown attempt from Parker, before circling back to the center of the mat. Carpenter seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Denis Carpenter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Parker.

Carpenter will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Parker up against the cage.
