Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Wilshere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ged Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Wilshere! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ged Quinn! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilshere gets in close and instigates a clinch. Quinn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wilshere moves into range and clinches up with Quinn. Quinn gets control of Wilshere's arms and successfully pulls guard. Quinn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Wilshere sitting in guard, not really doing much. Quinn trying to control the position.
Quinn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wilshere gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quinn is pulling down on Wilshere's head. It's preventing any offense from Wilshere, at least for the moment. Wilshere tries to stand but Quinn is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quinn trying to keep a closed guard but Wilshere is proving a slippery customer.
Wilshere trying to control the position from guard on top but Quinn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quinn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wilshere is looking to clinch but Quinn is avoiding it.
Wilshere shoots in for a takedown but Quinn shows good takedown defense. Wilshere scores with a takedown into Quinn's guard. Quinn is wriggling around but Wilshere manages to pass to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quinn is looking to improve his position.
Wilshere winds up and cracks Quinn with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Quinn is trying to control but can't.
Wilshere wants to pass to mount but Quinn is defending the position. Quinn is looking to improve his position.
Quinn is staying active underneath Wilshere, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quinn tries to roll over but Wilshere keeps him under control. Quinn wants to control but Wilshere is keeping busy.
Wilshere is trying to control the action in half guard but Quinn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wilshere trying to control the pace. Quinn is not content to let Wilshere control the position. Quinn missing with punches from the bottom.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wilshere performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Crunch! Wilshere slams his shin into Quinn's torso. Quinn shoots and misses and Wilshere counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wilshere trying to control from half guard but Quinn is working away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Quinn trying to control but Wilshere postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Wilshere dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Quinn throws a leg kick and Wilshere counters with a nice double leg into side control. Quinn won't be happy with that. Wilshere is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Quinn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jack Wilshere overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Quinn is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilshere tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Quinn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Wilshere is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Quinn can do to turn this around?

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Quinn controlling the position well. Wilshere missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Quinn tries to get to full guard but Wilshere has control of the leg. Wilshere is keen to just control but Quinn is a slippery customer.

Quinn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Quinn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wilshere sprawls well. Wilshere wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Quinn gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quinn fails to land the takedown. Jack Wilshere has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ged Quinn. A good leg kick by Quinn. Wilshere shoots in and drives through. Quinn sprawls well. Quinn has managed to clinch.
Quinn is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wilshere to keep the fight standing. Wilshere tries for a takedown but Quinn manages to get underhooks.

Quinn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilshere swivels though and keeps the full guard. Quinn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Quinn is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quinn gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Wilshere avoids the head kick by Quinn.
Wilshere is looking to clinch. Wilshere keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Quinn dives in for a single leg takedown but Wilshere sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wilshere shoots in looking for a takedown but Quinn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wilshere's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Quinn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Quinn wants it to stay on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Wilshere will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Quinn is trying to pull guard but Wilshere has him pressed against the cage. Quinn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Quinn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilshere as he jumps to the side. Wilshere feinted with a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilshere closes the distance and clinches up with Quinn, looking for a takedown. Wilshere pushes Quinn against the cage but Quinn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Quinn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wilshere shoots in looking for a takedown. Quinn tries to sprawl out of it but Wilshere keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quinn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Quinn tries to counter by closing the distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilshere shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quinn as he avoids it easily. As Wilshere backs off Quinn throws a huge counter combo but Wilshere manages to avoid it all. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Wilshere. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wilshere is trying hard to land a takedown here. Quinn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wilshere tries to clinch up but Quinn circles away and keeps his distance. Wilshere tries a head kick but it misses.
Ged Quinn seems to be getting the better of the standup. Wilshere wants to clinch and Quinn counters with a left and a right that stings Wilshere. Quinn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wilshere wants a takedown but no success here.

Quinn is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Quinn is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Wilshere presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Wilshere ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wilshere no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wilshere trying to control the position.
Quinn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Quinn trying to control but Wilshere is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quinn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wilshere has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quinn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wilshere working a defensive guard but Quinn manages to pass into side control anyway.
Quinn stands up and we're back to a striking position. A thudding body kick lands there by Quinn!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilshere defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Quinn. Wilshere leaves Quinn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wilshere shoots in looking for a takedown. Quinn tries to sprawl out of it but Wilshere keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quinn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The fight stays on the outside here - Quinn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Quinn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wilshere is fending him off so far but Quinn persists. Nope, Wilshere circles away and we're back to standing. Quinn throws a head kick that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Ged Quinn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Wilshere has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
