Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Balfour Darrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yas Uru!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uru misses with a left hand
and Darrow connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Darrow throws a right hand that misses
and Uru counters with a nice uppercut.
Darrow misses with a low kick as Uru jumps back.
A little jabbing left from Uru on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Decent striking displayed by Darrow there.
Darrow misses with an uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Darrow looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Darrow throws a head kick that misses.
Uru let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Darrow misses with a shot to the body
and Darrow takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jab by Uru.
A jab from Darrow misses.
Uru throws out a counter right but Darrow avoids it with no problem.
Darrow misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Uru counters with a one-two to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Darrow throws an overhand right that lands on Uru's shoulder, as Uru tries to avoid the shot.
Uru bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Darrow's head backwards.
Darrow moves away from the strike by Uru.
Darrow misses with a body shot.
Darrow tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Uru counters with a thumping low kick.
Yas Uru is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Uru tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Uru misses the jab.
Darrow has a takedown stuffed.
Uru swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Darrow tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Uru doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Uru throws a chopping leg kick but Darrow manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Darrow fails with an attempt to clinch.
Darrow throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Uru was covering up waiting for the punch and Darrow finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Darrow landing some decent shots from guard.
Darrow connects with a couple of short punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Uru wants to stand but Darrow is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Darrow wants to control from the top but Uru keeps moving.
Uru is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Darrow trying to control the position from guard on top but Uru is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Darrow looking to sit in guard and control but Uru gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Uru is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Darrow seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Uru trying to control the position from guard on top but Darrow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Darrow wants to sweep here but Uru controlling him for the moment.
Uru lying in Darrow's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Darrow decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Uru taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Balfour Darrow!
Balfour Darrow decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
