Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Francis Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Requis Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Francis Solis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Francis Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Requis Black!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Black as he jumps to the side.

Black clinches up with Solis and pushes him back against the cage.
Black wants a takedown but no success here.

Black jumps guard.
Black working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Solis.
Solis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Black preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Black looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Solis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Black has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Solis has managed to get both his arms back between Black's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Black avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Black escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Solis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Solis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Solis lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Black not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Black working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Solis.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Solis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Black throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Solis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Black looking for a guillotine here but Solis defends easily.
Solis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Black on the ground.

Black has his hands on Solis's head, controlling the position.
Solis throws an elbow that misses. Black uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Solis's guard. Nice move by Black!

Solis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Black gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Black is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Solis working for a triangle but Black defends it easily.
Black wants to pass the guard but Solis is keeping the position.
Black stopping the sweep attempt from Solis.

Solis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Solis has his foot on Black's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Black works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Black postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Black sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Black throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Black misses with a body punch
and Solis counters with a one-two to the body.

Black dives in and scores a takedown into Solis's guard.
Solis is wriggling around but Black manages to pass to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Black is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Requis Black dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Black throws a head kick that misses.
Solis feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Solis tries to clinch but Black moves out of range.
Black fails with a takedown attempt.
Black falls off balance throwing a combination
and Solis counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Black has Solis up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Solis successfully pulls guard.
Solis is trying to keep Black in close.

Solis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Black stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Solis throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Black escapes and throws Solis's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Black is staying tight to Solis's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Solis tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Black staying calm.

Black is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Solis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Black trying to control the action but Solis is working from the bottom.
We've been informed that Black has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Black is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Solis's shoulder. That is not cool.
Black wants to control but Solis is keeping him busy.
Black working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Solis is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Black asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Black has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Solis tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Black trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Black lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Solis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Black has control of Solis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Solis regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Solis is looking to get to half guard.

Requis Black showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Black avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Black doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Solis shoots in for a takedown but Black shows good takedown defense.

Black feints and as Solis raises his hands in defense, Black changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Solis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Black drives through and clinches with Solis against the cage.
Black just leaning against Solis, taking a breather.

Solis wants to control but Black is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Black looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Solis is looking to improve his position but Black isn't that keen on the idea.
