Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Messy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lionel Messy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Doyle ! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Messy to score an easy takedown into full guard. Doyle is looking to stand back up but Messy counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Doyle . The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Messy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Messy wants to pass the guard but Doyle is defending well. Messy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doyle taking some punishment here, with Messy in his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle is looking to escape. We've been hearing that Messy has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Messy controlling the pace. Messy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Messy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Messy in particular looking to stall. Messy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Doyle for as long as he can get away with. Doyle is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Messy looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Messy not doing much here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Messy rushes Doyle and presses him up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Messy appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Charlie Doyle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Messy looks to throw the jab but Doyle is out of range. Messy lands the left hand. Doyle is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Messy's half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Messy manages to regain full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Messy is on top in guard.

Messy lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Messy lands a couple of elbows. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Messy is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Doyle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Messy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Messy controlling from the top position. Messy stops Doyle from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Messy throws a hook to the side of Doyle 's head but Doyle sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Doyle tries to counter by closing the distance. Messy moves into the clinch. Messy wants the takedown. Doyle is fighting it off but Messy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Doyle 's guard against the cage. Doyle wants to stand but Messy is controlling the position. Messy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Doyle is looking to stand up but Messy isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doyle being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Further stalling from Messy. Messy stands up over Doyle , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Messy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Doyle can do to turn this around? Doyle wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Messy is now in half guard. Messy working Doyle over with strikes. Messy working over Doyle with some ground and pound. Doyle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Messy takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Messy works his foot free and advances to mount. Messy controlling the position easily from mount. Messy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Messy lands a big shot there that rocks Doyle but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Messy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Lionel Messy dominated that second round. That's time! Messy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
A leg kick checked by Messy. Doyle tries to close the distance and clinch but Messy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Doyle closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Messy did well to prevent Doyle getting side control. Messy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Messy regains full guard. Nicely done. Messy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lionel Messy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Messy stops Doyle from getting back to his feet.

Doyle wants to control but Messy is having none of it. Messy controlling the pace for now. Messy cracks Doyle with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A nice elbow there by Messy. Messy controlling the pace for now. Messy is landing with some decent strikes but Doyle is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Doyle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Messy with shots to the head and body - Doyle looks very uncomfortable down there. BOOM! Messy connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Messy is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Doyle is surviving well by controlling Messy's body position as best he can. Messy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Messy scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Doyle ?

Doyle is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Messy lands a nice shot to the head. Doyle is still in real trouble! Can Messy finish him? Messy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Messy loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Doyle scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Messy land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Messy stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lionel Messy! Lionel Messy bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
