27 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hamad Al Zahran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
48 - 44 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viktor Kulakov! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Zahran throws a jab but it's blocked by Kulakov. Al Zahran manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kulakov on his heels. He'll look to pass Kulakov's guard now, I'm sure. Kulakov has his feet on Al Zahran's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Al Zahran throws an overhand right that lands on Kulakov's shoulder, as Kulakov tries to avoid the shot. Kulakov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kulakov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Al Zahran connects with the punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kulakov throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Al Zahran throws a poor cross that misses

Al Zahran staying out of range there. A looping hook to the body misses from Al Zahran. Kulakov does a little dance to reset his feet. Al Zahran throws a head kick that misses. Al Zahran throws a lazy right hand but Kulakov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Al Zahran dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kulakov missing with a left hand there. Al Zahran was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Al Zahran turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kulakov moves away from the strike by Al Zahran. Kulakov looks to throw the jab but Al Zahran is out of range.

Al Zahran has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Abraham in the buildup to the fight. Al Zahran scores with a head kick. Kulakov tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Kulakov's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kulakov duly obliges. Al Zahran closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kulakov's guard. Kulakov keeping full guard, as Al Zahran tries to pass. Al Zahran engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Al Zahran advances to half guard. Al Zahran frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Al Zahran controlling from mount.

Kulakov is squirming around, avoiding Al Zahran's attempts to control the action. Kulakov really wants to buck Al Zahran off and get back to his feet. Al Zahran tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kulakov wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Al Zahran looks to land a left hand but Kulakov moved out of range nicely. Al Zahran connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kulakov. Kulakov circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Al Zahran throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A jab from Al Zahran misses. Kulakov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Al Zahran throws a body punch but Kulakov moves out of range. Kulakov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Al Zahran circles away quickly and effectively. Kulakov connects with a looping right hand.
Al Zahran moves into range and connects with a jab. A shot to the liver by Al Zahran. Beautiful body shot. Kulakov misses with an uppercut. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kulakov lands with an uppercut that bounces Al Zahran off the cage and back into range. Al Zahran is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Al Zahran lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Al Zahran misses with an uppercut. Kulakov misses with the combination.

That was a close round but I would say that Hamad Al Zahran will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

A big right from Kulakov misses. A telegraphed right hand from Al Zahran misses the target. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kulakov! But no joy. Kulakov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Al Zahran finds it's way round the side to connect with Kulakov's head. Al Zahran throws a sloppy head kick and Kulakov moves out of range easily. Kulakov swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Al Zahran misses with a hook. Al Zahran lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Al Zahran throws a hook but Kulakov avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kulakov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Al Zahran digs a good hook to Kulakov's body.
Al Zahran connects with a leg kick. Kulakov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kulakov avoids a punch combination nicely.

As Al Zahran backs off Kulakov throws a huge counter combo but Al Zahran manages to avoid it all. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Al Zahran. Kulakov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. No luck with that takedown attempt from Al Zahran. Al Zahran shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kulakov but Kulakov pushes him off and we're back to square one. Al Zahran bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Al Zahran throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kulakov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Al Zahran swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. A slapping leg kick lands for Al Zahran.
Kulakov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hamad Al Zahran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kulakov throws a hook to the side of Al Zahran's head but Al Zahran sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A swing and a miss from Kulakov. Al Zahran connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kulakov. Kulakov circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Al Zahran lands a high kick!

It looks like Hamad Al Zahran has been cut. Kulakov slips a jab from Al Zahran. Al Zahran changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kulakov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kulakov is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Al Zahran is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kulakov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kulakov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Al Zahran asserts his dominance and retains side control. Al Zahran looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kulakov wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kulakov is being controlled here. Al Zahran is looking to take a break and control but Kulakov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hamad Al Zahran is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kulakov wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Al Zahran fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kulakov to the ground. Al Zahran is now in Kulakov's guard. Hamad Al Zahran overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kulakov keeping moving, preventing Al Zahran from controlling successfully. Viktor Kulakov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Al Zahran in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Hamad Al Zahran showed his dominance in that final round. Well Al Zahran has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
