The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rydelli has Fazik up against the cage in a clinch.
Rydelli keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fazik's efforts to push away.
Fazik wants to break free but Rydelli has control.
Fazik wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fazik is looking for a takedown.
Fazik jumps guard but Rydelli stands there with Fazik around his waist. Fazik gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Fazik should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Fazik is trying to pull guard but Rydelli has him pressed against the cage.
Daniel Rydelli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohammed Fazik.

Fazik passes Rydelli's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Fazik is looking for a kimura but Rydelli is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fazik to get the leverage.

Fazik is pressing down on Rydelli's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rydelli is holding on for now.

Fazik seems to be working for a kimura but Rydelli defends the submission attempt.

Fazik is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rydelli sees it coming and defends easily.

Rydelli has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fazik is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rydelli.

Fazik has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rydelli is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fazik yanks on the arm and Rydelli is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fazik.
