The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinamoto finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A head kick misses from Bolton.
Bolton throws a series of strikes that have Shinamoto backpedaling.
It looks like Tatsuo Shinamoto has been cut.
Bolton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shinamoto shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Shinamoto is taking a breather. Bolton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Shinamoto blocks Bolton's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Bolton is looking for a sweep. Shinamoto is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bolton is trying to control but Shinamoto manages to pass to mount!
Shinamoto seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Bolton is holding on tight.
Shinamoto connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Shinamoto with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Shinamoto looking to control but Bolton is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Shinamoto lands a nice shot to the head.

Bolton holds on to Shinamoto as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shinamoto lands with some strikes.

Shinamoto wants to finish this one by submission but Bolton is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shinamoto.

Bolton tries to lock up and control but Shinamoto gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

I really don't envy Bolton right now.
Bolton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shinamoto on the ground.
Bolton looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Shinamoto has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bolton! Can he survive? No! He's out! Shinamoto gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Tatsuo Shinamoto decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
