Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Dillashaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Missri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Dillashaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Missri!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillashaw dodges the punch combination from Missri.
Dillashaw slaps away a takedown attempt from Missri, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Missri shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dillashaw but Dillashaw pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dillashaw throws a sloppy head kick and Missri moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dillashaw or perhaps it was just good defense by Missri, which made it look bad.
Missri shoots in looking for a takedown but Dillashaw manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Missri's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marcus Dillashaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Missri.

Dillashaw keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A combination from Dillashaw does no damage.
Missri blocks a head kick by Dillashaw.
Missri looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Dillashaw shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Missri pinned against the cage. Missri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Missri lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Dillashaw drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dillashaw tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Dillashaw tries to score with some ground and pound. Missri controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Missri is looking to reverse the position.
Missri tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dillashaw presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Dillashaw working for a submission but Missri is keeping him at bay.
Missri is desperately trying to improve his position but Dillashaw has a good base and remains in mount.
Missri tries to buck Dillashaw off but he can't manage it.
Dillashaw tries to control but Missri wriggling away.
Missri sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Missri manages to get to full guard.

Missri is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dillashaw defends well.

Missri bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dillashaw's guard.


Missri thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Missri's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Missri tries to stand but Dillashaw is controlling from the bottom.
Dillashaw tries to strike from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Marcus Dillashaw will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Missri pushes Dillashaw up against the cage in a clinch.
Dillashaw fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Missri shoots in but no luck this time.
Dillashaw throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Dillashaw scores with a spinning back kick!

Dillashaw gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Missri escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Missri takes a kick to the side of the head.
Dillashaw throws a head kick that misses.
Missri throws a counter combo.

Missri is looking to clinch but Dillashaw is avoiding it.
Dillashaw throws a head kick but Missri moves out of range.
Dillashaw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dillashaw wants it to stay on the feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dillashaw. That's going to slow Missri down.

Missri dives in and grabs Dillashaw's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dillashaw pushes down on Missri's head and hops out.

Dillashaw jumps guard but Missri turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Missri escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Missri throws a counter combo.
Dillashaw leaves Missri with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Missri shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dillashaw as he avoids it easily.
Dillashaw drops down looking for a counter takedown but Missri sprawls and moves away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Missri looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Dillashaw dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Dillashaw misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Missri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dillashaw is fending him off so far but Missri persists. Nope, Dillashaw circles away and we're back to standing.

Missri tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dillashaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Missri somewhat.

Missri takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dillashaw throws a head kick that misses.
Missri blocks a head kick by Dillashaw.
Dillashaw throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Missri's waist but Missri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dillashaw off to one side.
Dillashaw shoots in and drives through. Missri sprawls well.

Nice takedown defense from Dillashaw. No joy for Missri on that attempt.

Missri shoots in but Dillashaw avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dillashaw changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Dillashaw has Missri up against the cage in a clinch.

Missri breaks the clinch.
Missri fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dillashaw tries to counter by clinching up but Missri breaks away and moves out of range.

Dillashaw closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Missri lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Dillashaw has a couple of punches blocked by Missri.
Dillashaw slowing the pace effectively.

Missri decides to pull guard.
Dillashaw has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dillashaw content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Dillashaw works over Missri with some ground and pound from guard.
Dillashaw working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Dillashaw makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dillashaw, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
