Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Buckley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Sommervile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sommervile has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buckley is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sommervile pulls him back up using the underhooks.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sommervile can do anything to dispel that myth.
Buckley drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sommervile dives on top into guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sommervile connects with a nice short shot to Buckley's temple.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Buckley is on top in guard.

It looked like Buckley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Sommervile is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Buckley with a body shot.
