Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carmelo Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iain Savernport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iain Savernport has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carmelo Willis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Iain Savernport! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savernport digs a good hook to Willis's body.
Savernport clinches. Willis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Savernport is pressed up against the cage. Willis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Savernport down to the mat. Savernport avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Savernport drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Willis controls Savernport momentarily but Savernport frees himself. Savernport stands and steps away. Willis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Willis shoots for a double leg takedown but Savernport sprawls well. He's pushed Willis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Savernport shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Willis's guard. Willis trying to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Willis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Savernport must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savernport drops back, looking for a kneebar! Willis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Willis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Willis! Willis looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Savernport is avoiding damage well.
Savernport stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Willis throws an elbow but Savernport slips to the side and avoids it well. An elbow from Willis crashes against the mat.
Savernport holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Willis misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Savernport is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savernport can't do much from the bottom here. Savernport manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Willis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Savernport is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Willis has managed to free his arm - good work. Willis wants to control but Savernport is keeping busy and won't allow it. Willis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Savernport in particular looking to stall. Willis trying to control but Savernport postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savernport with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Savernport thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Willis's head. Willis is trying to get back to full guard. Willis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Savernport is working away from the top position though. Willis is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Savernport decides to stand up. Savernport gets a double leg takedown into Willis's guard. Savernport thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Savernport postures up.
Willis has his foot on Savernport's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Savernport works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Savernport stands and steps away. Willis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Savernport has Willis up against the cage in a clinch.

Good leg kick by Savernport there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Savernport clinches up with Willis and pushes him back against the cage. Willis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Savernport has him pressed against the cage. Savernport has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Willis uses from the top position. Willis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Savernport works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Let's hope that Savernport has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savernport stopping the sweep attempt from Willis. Savernport decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Willis, up you get! No luck for Willis with that takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Savernport gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Savernport jumps guard.
Savernport manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Willis manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Willis keeping full guard, as Savernport tries to pass. Savernport passes Willis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Well, if Savernport is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Willis wants to improve his position but Savernport is controlling well.
Savernport takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Savernport wants to free his trapped foot but Willis is holding on for dear life with his legs. Savernport is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Savernport seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Savernport postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Willis to stand up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Iain Savernport showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Willis takes a kick to the side of the head. Savernport swings and misses with a hook to the body.

As Savernport tries to get set, Willis tries to push him back and clinch up but Savernport manages to avoid the attempt. Willis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Savernport with the counter takedown but Willis avoids it easily. Willis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Savernport is fending him off so far but Willis persists. Nope, Savernport circles away and we're back to standing. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Willis. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carmelo Willis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savernport rushes Willis and presses him up against the cage. Willis wants to break free but Savernport has control.

That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Willis is trying to force a seperation but Savernport has the dominant position. Savernport has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Willis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Iain Savernport has got the better of the ground game so far. Willis is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Savernport.

What can Willis do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Willis is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Savernport gets his way!

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Savernport's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Willis just trying to survive but Savernport is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Savernport lands strikes from the back and Willis isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
