Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nickey Spillane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Rubin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nickey Spillane!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Timur Rubin!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubin looks to score with a jab to the body but Spillane is just out of range.
Nice jab there from Spillane.
Rubin lands with a hook. Spillane tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Spillane's corner calls for a 1-2. Spillane obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Spillane connects with a leg kick. Rubin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Spillane is looking to land body kicks.
Spillane throws a right hand that misses

and Rubin counters with a shoot takedown. Spillane fights it but they end up in guard.
Spillane bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rubin's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spillane being controlled here momentarily.
Spillane is looking to work some ground and pound but Rubin has wrist control.
Rubin wants to sweep but no luck.
Spillane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Spillane engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rubin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Spillane throwing strikes from guard but Rubin blocks nicely.
Rubin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Spillane's guard.

Spillane tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rubin stands up over Spillane, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Spillane throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Spillane is trying to control the position but Rubin postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spillane wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rubin is now in half guard.
Rubin not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Spillane is trying to get back to full guard.
Rubin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spillane is looking to improve his position.
Rubin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rubin moves into full mount! Spillane won't be happy about that!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rubin throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Rubin trying to control but Spillane is having none of it.
Rubin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Spillane is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rubin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rubin breaks from Spillane's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Spillane wants to control but Rubin is having none of it.
Rubin cracks Spillane with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rubin is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Spillane goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Rubin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Timur Rubin!
Timur Rubin is the new heavyweight champion!
Timur Rubin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
