Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Belcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter comes to the cage accompanied by Cherry Pie by Warrant. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Potter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Belcher! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belcher misses with a takedown attempt - Potter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Belcher shoots in looking for a takedown but Potter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Belcher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Potter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Belcher, pushing him back against the cage. Potter working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Potter scores with a shoulder strike. A right hook to the body lands for Potter.

Belcher is working for takedown but Potter is calmly controlling the position for now. Peter Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Belcher. Potter lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Belcher's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Potter lands a shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Potter with a knee to the head.

Potter is pressed up against the cage. Belcher has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Potter down to the mat. Potter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Potter scores with a nice head shot. Jake Belcher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Potter has closed the distance and engaged Belcher in a clinch.

It looks like Jake Belcher has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Still in the clinch, Potter scores with a nice short uppercut. Belcher changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Potter fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Potter lands with a right to the head. Potter dips a shoulder and cracks Belcher with a mighty uppercut! Belcher falls back against the cage and Potter unloads with a barrage of strikes! Belcher is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Potter screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Potter! Peter Potter very nearly forgot to thank Leviathan Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
