Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Federico Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Lumms! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a kick to the body.
Lumms shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard. Lumms with a nice head shot there. Brown manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lumms manages to get himself to full guard.
Brown trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lumms's guard. Brown really is a fat lump. Lumms controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lumms working a defensive guard but Brown passes into half guard.
Lumms looking for submissions off his back. Brown is looking for a kimura but Lumms is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brown to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown wants to stand up but Lumms has a hold of him and won't allow it. Lumms is looking for a sweep. Brown is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lumms manages to get to full guard.
Lumms is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Brown has his hands clasped together but Lumms extends and breaks Brown's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lumms.
