Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lorenzo Babidi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patricio Freire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freire on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Babidi. Babidi obviously looking to wear him down.
Babidi scores with the left hand. Freire knows he should have avoided that one.
Freire lands the left hand.
Freire takes a jab right on the kisser.
Good leg kick by Babidi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Babidi throws a body punch but Freire moves out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Babidi, as that shot connected.
Freire blocks a head kick by Babidi.
Babidi stuns Freire with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Babidi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd cheers as Freire lands an impressive looking overhand right. Babidi doesn't seem phased though.
Freire throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Babidi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Babidi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lorenzo Babidi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freire swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Babidi.

Babidi stays in close to Freire's body and controls the position.
Freire wants to sweep here but Babidi controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Freire had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Babidi defends it easily.
Babidi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Freire is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Babidi defends well.

Freire is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Babidi has his hands clasped together but Freire extends and breaks Babidi's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Freire.
