Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacque Schtrappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Repe Sorsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schtrappe's entrance music is Nitzer Ebb - Violent Playground. A fine choice. Sorsa has chosen Like a Bunny as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
47 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jacque Schtrappe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Repe Sorsa! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schtrappe misses the shot to the body. Nice sprawl there from Schtrappe as Sorsa shoots in. Sorsa misses with a wild body shot. Schtrappe lands with a nice body kick. Schtrappe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Schtrappe looks to throw the jab but Sorsa is out of range. Schtrappe misses with a looping left. Schtrappe throws a shot to the body.
Schtrappe connects with an inside leg kick. Sorsa misses with a few strikes there.
Sorsa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Schtrappe takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Schtrappe takes one on the button. This has been an exciting period of action! Sorsa connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Repe Sorsa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sorsa lands a jab to the nose. Sorsa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Schtrappe takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sorsa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schtrappe is fending him off so far but Sorsa persists. Nope, Schtrappe circles away and we're back to standing. An inside leg kick lands from Schtrappe. Schtrappe tries to score with a low kick but Sorsa moves his leg out of the way. Schtrappe tries to sprawl but Sorsa drives through with a takedown into half guard. Sorsa throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sorsa not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schtrappe keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Schtrappe avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sorsa. Schtrappe tries to get to full guard but Sorsa has control of the leg. Sorsa looks to land a strike but Schtrappe avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Schtrappe wants to stand but Sorsa is controlling the position. Sorsa landing some decent shots from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sorsa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sorsa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Schtrappe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sorsa throwing strikes but missing. Sorsa throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sorsa preventing the sweep. We've been hearing good reports from Schtrappe's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Sorsa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Schtrappe is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sorsa controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schtrappe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sorsa slips nicely into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schtrappe taking some punishment here, with Sorsa in his half guard.

Sorsa throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sorsa drops an elbow to the side of Schtrappe's head. Sorsa prevents Schtrappe from improving his position. Sorsa wants to pass the guard but Schtrappe is defending well. Sorsa is looking for a kimura here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sorsa lands a nice short elbow. Sorsa is looking for a kimura here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sorsa throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Schtrappe wants to improve his position but Sorsa is controlling well.
Sorsa working the head and body with strikes. Schtrappe is holding on to half guard well. Schtrappe is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sorsa scores with a couple of nice shots. Schtrappe is concentrating on defense, preventing Sorsa from advancing position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sorsa connects with a nice short shot to Schtrappe's temple. Schtrappe tries to roll over but Sorsa keeps him under control. Sorsa thows a huge punch but Schtrappe dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Repe Sorsa dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sorsa has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sorsa throws out a loose jab but Schtrappe uses good head movement to avoid it. Schtrappe takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Schtrappe motions for Sorsa to come forward. Schtrappe throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Sorsa ducks under a wild hook from Schtrappe. Sorsa with a nice cross. Schtrappe on the wrong end of a nice hook. Schtrappe on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schtrappe throws a body punch but Sorsa moves out of range. Sorsa throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Nice cross by Sorsa. Sorsa jabs Schtrappe right on the nose. Schtrappe blinks but takes it well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schtrappe takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sorsa sizes up Schtrappe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Schtrappe misses the shot to the body. Good work by Sorsa as he checks the leg kick. Sorsa scores with the left hand. Schtrappe knows he should have avoided that one. Sorsa has a takedown stuffed. A little feinted left hand from Schtrappe on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Schtrappe throws a body shot but no joy. Sorsa works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Sorsa misses with a takedown enabling Schtrappe to counter with a crisp jab. Sorsa dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Schtrappe looks to land a right hand but Sorsa moved out of range. Sloppy strikes from Sorsa. Those never looked like landing. Sorsa walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sorsa lands a glancing blow to the side of Schtrappe's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sorsa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sorsa changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Sorsa lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Schtrappe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sorsa. Sorsa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schtrappe's half guard. Sorsa is trying to control the action in half guard but Schtrappe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sorsa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Schtrappe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sorsa passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Schtrappe! Sorsa punching from mount but Schtrappe doing a good job of avoiding damage. Sorsa lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Sorsa connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Schtrappe is bucking up trying to escape but Sorsa cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The referee warns Schtrappe that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sorsa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Schtrappe looks a forlorn figure.
Schtrappe is rocked! Schtrappe tries to hold on but Sorsa pushes him away. Schtrappe is squirming around, avoiding Sorsa's attempts to control the action. Sorsa is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Schtrappe has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sorsa looking to finish Schtrappe with some ground and pound. This is bad for Schtrappe! Oh Schtrappe is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sorsa cracks Schtrappe with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schtrappe is looking to get to half guard. Schtrappe holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sorsa tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Schtrappe seems to have got his legs back now. Sorsa throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Schtrappe holds on to Sorsa around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. Schtrappe wants to get back to his feet.
Sorsa sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Sorsa misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Schtrappe wants to control but Sorsa is having none of it. Sorsa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Repe Sorsa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Sorsa misses with a hook. Schtrappe ducked under it nicely. Nice uppercut lands for Sorsa. That snapped Schtrappe's head back.
Schtrappe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sorsa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sorsa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Schtrappe at a distance.

Schtrappe slips a straight right by Sorsa. As Sorsa tries to get set, Schtrappe tries to push him back and clinch up but Sorsa manages to avoid the attempt. A shot to the liver by Sorsa. Beautiful body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sorsa lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Sorsa scores with a hook to the body. Schtrappe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The fighters circle momentarily. Sorsa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A slow jab from Schtrappe misses its intended target. Schtrappe throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sorsa.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schtrappe throws a body shot but no joy. Schtrappe looks to score with a jab to the body but Sorsa is just out of range. Sorsa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jab, jab by Sorsa - just one landing. Schtrappe misses with a hook. Schtrappe moves out of range as Sorsa strikes. Jacque Schtrappe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sorsa throws a looping overhand right but Schtrappe ducks down to avoid it. A punch combination from Sorsa misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sorsa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schtrappe tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sorsa is able to avoid easily. Schtrappe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schtrappe wants to get back to his feet but Sorsa is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sorsa wants to control from the top but Schtrappe keeps moving. Sorsa lands a couple of digs. Sorsa makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sorsa lands a couple of elbows. Sorsa won't allow Schtrappe to sweep him here. Sorsa throws a strike but Schtrappe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Schtrappe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sorsa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schtrappe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Schtrappe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sorsa is looking for a triangle but Schtrappe pushes his legs off easily.
Sorsa looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Schtrappe has picked Sorsa up and slammed him! Sorsa can't keep hold of the triangle and Schtrappe manages to pass to side control! Sorsa tries to bench press Schtrappe off him but Schtrappe keeps the position. Schtrappe wants to control but Sorsa is keeping him busy. Jacque Schtrappe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Repe Sorsa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sorsa bucks up and tries to throw Schtrappe off but instead Schtrappe has got his back! Schtrappe landing with strikes. Sorsa wants to control his opponent's hands but Schtrappe gets his hands free. Sorsa tries to escape but Schtrappe has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Schtrappe lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Schtrappe.

Sorsa tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Sorsa tries to lock up and control but Schtrappe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Repe Sorsa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sorsa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
