Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Appolo Elder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaac Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. haiti song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Appolo Elder has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Appolo Elder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Isaac Jackson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Elder enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Elder manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Jackson won't allow Elder to sweep him here. Jackson content to stall in guard here. Jackson slips nicely into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Elder throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jackson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elder tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A little jabbing left from Jackson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Elder darts in trying to clinch and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Elder kicks off Jackson and gets to his feet. Jackson feints and as Elder raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Elder can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jackson controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elder lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Jackson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Elder off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Elder on his heels. He'll look to pass Elder's guard now, I'm sure. Elder trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Elder swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jackson stops Elder from standing up. Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Elder is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jackson is stalling in the full guard. Elder is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Elder tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Elder ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Elder is breathing heavily. Elder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Elder changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Elder manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Appolo Elder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Elder tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jackson is in Elder's guard. Jackson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Elder looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Jackson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jackson looking to pass the guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jackson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Elder has one foot on Jackson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Jackson gets the takedown into side control. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Elder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Elder wants to get back to his feet. Elder prevents Jackson from improving position. Elder struggling a bit here. Elder is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Jackson drives through and clinches with Elder against the cage.
Elder wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A right hand to the body from Elder.
Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jackson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Elder tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Elder ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Elder wants to clinch and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control. Elder prevents Jackson from moving into mount. Elder taking a bit of punishment here - Jackson scoring with strikes. Elder is trying to work for a sweep but Jackson has mounted him!

Elder wants to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. Jackson controlling from the full mount. Yet more stalling tactics from Jackson. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Isaac Jackson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jackson stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Jackson shoots in and bounces Elder off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Appolo Elder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Elder throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jackson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Elder has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Elder's legs - danger averted.
And that's the end of the fight! Isaac Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
