Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willie Whiskers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Willie Whiskers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jason Moon! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whiskers drives through with a takedown into guard. Moon wants to sweep but no luck. Whiskers slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Moon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Whiskers wanted to stand there but Moon had control of the position. Moon is trying to control the position but Whiskers postures up. Moon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Whiskers kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Moon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Whiskers is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Moon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Whiskers's back instead. Whiskers is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Moon.
Whiskers tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's one minute gone in the round. Moon raining down shots from the mount! Moon tries to control but Whiskers wriggling away. Moon landing punches. Whiskers is trying to escape the mount.
Moon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Whiskers looks a forlorn figure.
Moon putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Whiskers slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Moon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Moon sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Whiskers defending well though. Whiskers wants to get back to full guard but Moon has passed into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Moon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Moon has hold of Whiskers's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Whiskers manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Moon looks gassed! BOOM! Moon connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Moon working for a guillotine from mount but Whiskers is in no mood to give up. Whiskers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Moon goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Whiskers turns into him and now he's in Moon's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Moon has momentary wrist control but Whiskers slips an elbow through the middle. Moon keeping moving, preventing Whiskers from controlling successfully. Moon looking for a guillotine here but Whiskers defends easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Moon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Moon is looking to regain half guard here but Whiskers keeps moving and retains side control. Moon sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Moon gets back to full guard.

Jason Moon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Whiskers moves in looking to clinch but Moon pushes him off. Whiskers keeps the fight on the outside. Whiskers closes the distance looking to clinch and Moon moves into the clinch. Moon is trying to break free. Moon lands a body shot in the clinch.
Whiskers tries to land knees in the clinch but Moon avoids the damage to the body. Whiskers lands a knee to the head.
Whiskers is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Moon is keeping busy. Moon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Moon misses with a wild body shot. A combination from Moon does no damage. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Moon - that will leave a mark!
That's one minute gone in the round. Moon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Whiskers avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Moon. Moon passes to side control. Moon decides to stand back up. Willie Whiskers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Whiskers misses with a takedown attempt and Moon counters with a single leg into guard. Whiskers didn't expect that. Whiskers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Moon postures up.
Whiskers wants to sweep here but Moon controlling him for the moment. Moon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Whiskers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moon preventing the sweep. Moon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Whiskers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Whiskers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Whiskers! Check out the look on Whiskers's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Moon tries to get back to half guard but can't. Whiskers just content to control the position. Moon takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Whiskers trying to control the position but Moon is working away. Whiskers lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Moon down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whiskers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Whiskers lands a nice forearm strike. Moon is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Whiskers decides to stand up, so the ref orders Moon to his feet. Moon throws a nice looking combination but Whiskers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Moon looks to land a combination. Whiskers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. The fight stays on the outside here - Moon looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Moon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moon scoring with punches and elbows. Moon trying to control the position but Whiskers is working away. Jason Moon has got the better of the ground game so far. Moon stands up and we're back to a striking position. Whiskers has his takedown stuffed and Moon holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Moon stalling in the clinch but Whiskers improves position. Moon struggles to land a body shot inside as Whiskers controls his hands.

Whiskers has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Moon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Moon wants to escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jason Moon will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Nice sprawl there from Moon as Whiskers shoots in. Whiskers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moon pinned against the cage. Moon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Whiskers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Whiskers tries to score a body lock takedown but Moon shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willie Whiskers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moon jumps guard but Whiskers stands there with Moon around his waist. Moon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Moon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Moon. No joy for Whiskers on that attempt. Moon lands with a nice body punch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Moon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Whiskers's guard. Moon is in close to Whiskers's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whiskers keeping moving, preventing Moon from controlling successfully. Moon slips nicely into half guard. Moon is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Whiskers tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Moon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Whiskers is looking to get to half guard. Whiskers tries to lock up and control but Moon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Whiskers squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Moon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Whiskers is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Whiskers and Moon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Whiskers has escaped the position, nice work there. Whiskers is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Moon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Whiskers looks like he's trying to stand up.
Moon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Whiskers punching from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Whiskers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Moon landing strikes. And that's the end of the fight! Jason Moon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Moon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
