Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pascual Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and De Janeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez comes to the cage accompanied by Another One Bites The Dust. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pascual Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, De Janeiro! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Janeiro gets tackled into the cage by Perez. Perez maintains the clinch. Perez struggles to land a body shot inside as Janeiro controls his hands.
Perez can't find room to land a body shot as Janeiro controls the action.

A frustrated look appears on Perez's face as he tries to break the clinch. Janeiro pulls guard effortlessly. Perez has gone for a leg lock! Janeiro slips out almost immediately though and dives into Perez's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perez is on top in guard.

You can see the frustration on Perez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Janeiro tries for a kimura but Perez is defending well. De Janeiro dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Perez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Janeiro dives on top into guard. Perez is trying to control the position but Janeiro postures up. You can't force these things though and Janeiro defends well. Janeiro stopping the sweep attempt from Perez. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Janeiro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Janeiro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Perez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Janeiro drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Perez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Janeiro has Perez in his guard.

Perez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Janeiro is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Janeiro has escaped and now he's on top! Janeiro advances to half guard. Perez is looking for a sweep. Janeiro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Janeiro drops back looking for a leg! Perez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Perez manages to kick Janeiro off! Janeiro jumps back into Perez's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but De Janeiro will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Instead, Janeiro manages to get to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perez looking to improve position, pressing down on Janeiro's thigh with his hand. Janeiro seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Perez paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Perez's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Janeiro picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
