Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Frye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dirk Heinrich!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heinrich wants to clinch.
Heinrich tries to land a front kick but Frye steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Heinrich thows a leg kick but Frye checks it
and Frye counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Heinrich buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Frye slips under a jab.
Frye cracks Heinrich with a right hand to the side of the head.
Heinrich fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Frye.
Frye avoids a kick to the body.
Frye circles away from the clinch attempt
and Frye counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frye fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Heinrich on the side of the head.
Frye tests Heinrich's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Heinrich fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Frye checks it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice body kick from Heinrich.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Frye connects with a good right hand that stumbles Heinrich. Heinrich circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Nice cross by Frye.
Frye clobbers Heinrich with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Frye lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Heinrich is rocked!
Heinrich throws a leg kick that is checked
and Frye counters with a big right hand! Oh Heinrich is in trouble here! Frye follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jacob Frye!
Jacob Frye very nearly forgot to thank M.O. Fight Wear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
In defeat, Dirk Heinrich stepped up to the mic, saying 'Gotta work harder!'.
