Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Yared (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Yared! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yared fails with a takedown attempt. Yared lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Day wants to clinch up but Yared keeps it at a distance. Day is looking to clinch. Day closes the distance and clinches up with Yared, looking for a takedown. Day pushes Yared against the cage but Yared circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Day doesn't manage to clinch there - Yared circles away.

Yared decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Yared trying to control from half guard but Day is working away. Day punching from the bottom.
Day is trying to stand up here but Yared is controlling him well.
Yared is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Yared looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Day is trying to stand.

Yared is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Day doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yared. Yared prevents Day from improving his position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Day is working hard here to advance position. Yared throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Yared is looking for a kimura but Day is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yared to get the leverage. Yared looks gassed!
Yared is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Day trying to hold on to Yared's head to control him but Yared postures up.
Day on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Day tries to get out of the position. Day tries to get to full guard but Yared has control of the leg.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Day gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yared counters with a head kick. That will keep Day thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Day misses with a series of wild punches.
Day swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Yared.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Day gets a clinch.
Yared is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Day can't fight it off and eventually Yared manages to take the fight to the floor. Day looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Day thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Day is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Day escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yared gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Yared thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Day has his foot on Yared's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yared works his way back into a safe position though.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Day is looking for a triangle here but Yared uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Day can't do much from the bottom here. Day tries to get back to half guard but can't.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Day fails to land with a series of punches.
Day closes the distance looking to clinch and Yared counters with a flying knee. Nice. Day throws a right hand that Yared ducks under and follows up with a left that Yared also avoids with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Renato Yared dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Day closes the distance but Yared moves to the side and Yared counters with a series of strikes. Day will be more careful next time no doubt. Day lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yared circles away quickly and effectively. Yared lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Yared. Day tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Yared counters with a nice body kick. Horrible takedown by Day or perhaps it was just good defense by Yared which made him look bad. Day tries to clinch up and Yared counters with a head kick. That will keep Day thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Day darts in trying to clinch and Yared counters with a left and a right that stings Day.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Yared lands with a kick to the temple. Day shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Day shoots in but no luck this time. Day tries to clinch and Yared counters with a flying knee. Nice. Day swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Yared counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Day is concentrating on defense, preventing Yared from advancing position. Day looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yared thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Yared is controlling the pace.

Yared is looking for a kimura but Day is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yared to get the leverage. Day wants to control but Yared is keeping busy.
Yared seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Day is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
