Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Blyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blyer comes to the cage accompanied by Eye Of The Tiger. Henry comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Unashamed kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

44 - 47 - 1, fighting out of New York, Rocky Blyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Henry! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henry slips a jab and a cross from Blyer.
Blyer takes a jab right on the kisser.
Blyer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Henry has his takedown stuffed and Blyer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Blyer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Henry has Blyer up against the cage in a clinch.
Henry looking to stall.
Blyer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Henrys head. Blyer stalling in the clinch.
Blyer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Henry throws a nice looking combination but Blyer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Henry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blyer sprawls well initially but Henry persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Henry stops Blyer from getting back to his feet.
Henry throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Blyer is trying to stand up here but Henry is controlling him well.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Henry is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Henry slips a jab and a cross from Blyer.
Henry darts in looking for a takedown but Blyer gets double underhooks and turns Henry into the cage. Blyer blocks the body kick.
Henry tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Henry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Henry fails with an attempt to clinch.
Henry with a body punch. A glancing blow. Henry tries to clinch but Blyer is having none of it. Rocky Blyer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Blyer cracks Henry with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Henry moves in looking to clinch but Blyer pushes him off.

Henry shoots in but Blyer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rocky Blyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Henry. Nice shot by Henry. Henry lands with a right hand. Blyer thows a left - swing and a miss! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Henry looks to score with a jab to the body but Blyer is just out of range. Blyer was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Henry scores with the left hand. Blyer knows he should have avoided that one. Henry scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Blyer misses with a double jab.
Henry closes the distance and clinches. A frustrated look appears on Blyer's face as he tries to break the clinch. Henry tries for a takedown. No joy.
Blyer is looking to break free of the clinch but Henry has double underhooks. Henry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Blyer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Blyer blocks a body shot from Henry.

Henry will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Blyer up against the cage. Henry lands a body shot in the clinch.
Blyer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Blyer blocks a body shot from Henry. Blyer tries to break free but Henry pushes him back against the cage. Blyer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Blyer looks to land a left hand but Henry moved out of range nicely. Henry drives through with a takedown into guard. Henry showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Henry's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henry stops Blyer from standing up. Blyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Henry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Blyer being controlled here, momentarily. Henry stops Blyer from standing up. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Blyer takes a swing at Henry's ribcage but misses. Henry closes the distance and clinches. Blyer is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Henry looking for a takedown. Rocky Blyer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blyer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Blyer keeps the fight on the outside. Henry dives in and grabs Blyer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blyer pushes down on Henry's head and hops out. Blyer is looking to counter punch. Henry moves out of range as Blyer strikes. Blyer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blyer misses with a looping left. Henry has taken the fight to the clinch.
Blyer's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Blyer is trying to break the clinch but Henry is controlling him. Henry goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blyer working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Henry wants a takedown but no success here.

Henry ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Blyer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Henry circles away quickly and effectively. Rocky Blyer is winning the standup battle so far. Blyer throws a series of punches but Henry avoids them all with ease. Henry tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blyer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Blyer throws a big counter combination but Henry scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Henry fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Blyer to the ground. Henry is now in Blyer's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blyer wants to stand but Henry is controlling the position. Henry with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Henry loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Henry stops Blyer from standing up. Henry trying to control but Blyer is working from the bottom. Henry missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Henry stops Blyer from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rocky Blyer will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on John Henry's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Blyer is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Henry presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Blyer has had enough of the clinch but Henry keeps him there for the moment. A left hand lands to the body for Henry.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Blyer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blyer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blyer wants it to stay on the feet. Henry connects with a body shot. Blyer swings for the body but Henry moves out of range.
Henry goes for a double leg but Blyer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Blyer continues to drive forward. Blyer misses the jab. Blyer tries to keep at a distance but Henry has taken the fight into the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blyer will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Henry up against the cage. Henry trying to control but Blyer is working from the bottom. Blyer being controlled here, momentarily. Blyer keeping moving, preventing Henry from controlling successfully. Henry is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rocky Blyer. I think Blyer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Rocky Blyer! Rocky Blyer tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
