Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Deleon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lando Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lando Lane has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lamont Deleon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lamont Deleon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lando Lane!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deleon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lane circles away.
Deleon tries a head kick but it misses.
Both fighters circling a little - Lane finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Deleon gets a clinch.

Lane breaks the clinch.

Lane drives through and clinches with Deleon against the cage.
Lane jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Deleon walks away with a smile on his face. Lane gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Deleon clinches up with Lane and pushes him back against the cage.
Deleon is trying to pull guard but Lane has him pressed against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lane blocks a body shot from Deleon.
Lane throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Deleon blocks it with crossed arms.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Deleon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lane jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Deleon walks away with a smile on his face. Lane gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Deleon gets tackled into the cage by Lane. Lane maintains the clinch.

Lane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Deleon clinches with his opponent.

Lane jumps into guard, dragging Deleon to the mat.

Deleon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Deleon tries to stand but Lane is controlling from the bottom.
Lane is pulling down on Deleon's head. It's preventing any offense from Deleon, at least for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lane throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Deleon wants to control from the top but Lane keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Deleon throwing strikes but missing.
Deleon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Deleon wants to get up but he can't break Lane's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Deleon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Lane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Deleon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Deleon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Lane tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Deleon swivels and escapes.
Lamont Deleon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lando Lane.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lane shoots in for a takedown but Deleon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Deleon is looking for a counter combo.
Lane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lane looks winded!
Deleon avoids the head kick by Lane.

Deleon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lane on his heels. He'll look to pass Lane's guard now, I'm sure.
Deleon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Deleon gets to his feet. Lane looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Deleon moves into the clinch.
Lane blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Deleon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Deleon looking for a takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Lane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lane fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Deleon, pushing him back against the cage.

Deleon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Deleon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
As Deleon backs off Lane throws a huge counter combo but Deleon manages to avoid it all.
A punch combination from Deleon misses.
Lane avoids the head kick by Deleon.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Deleon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lane.
Deleon appears to be looking for a big counter.

Deleon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lane missing with punches from the bottom.
Lane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deleon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lane tries to get to full guard but Deleon has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lamont Deleon will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lane gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Lane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Lane with that takedown attempt.
Lane shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Deleon but Deleon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lane shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Deleon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deleon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lane's best efforts.
Lane working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Deleon's thigh. Deleon counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Deleon pushes a forearm under Lane's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Lane is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lamont Deleon!
