The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pappas gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Menendez is trying to push Pappas away but Pappas has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Pappas doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Menendez has Pappas pressed against the cage, preventing Pappas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pappas manages to break the clinch.
Manny Menendez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A big strike lands for Pappas! That's really hurt Menendez and he's turned his back - Pappas keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Pappas jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
