Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eddie Logan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom Porter! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Logan as Porter shoots in. Logan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Porter counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Eddie Logan has been cut. Logan misses with a head kick.
Logan with a lazy takedown attempt and Porter counters with a three punch combo that has Logan backing up. Logan nods at Porter to acknowledge the strikes. Logan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Porter tries to pull guard but Logan forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Porter tries to score a body lock takedown but Logan shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Eddie Logan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Porter. Logan has had enough of the clinch but Porter keeps him there for the moment. Porter blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Logan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Logan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Logan is trying to break the clinch but Porter has him pressed against the cage. Porter tries to pull guard but Logan holds him up against the cage and eventually Porter drops back down to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Logan is pressed up against the cage. Porter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Logan down to the mat. Logan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Logan throws a series of punches but Porter avoids them all with ease. Porter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Porter lands in his opponent's guard. Porter showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Porter advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Porter in side control, throwing shots but Logan defends. Porter just content to control the position. Porter is trying to get an arm triangle but Logan is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Logan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Porter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Logan is breathing heavily. Porter staying calm. Porter tries for a kimura but Logan is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A lull in the action here as Porter stalls from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Porter working the head with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Porter controls the position from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Porter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Eddie Logan's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Logan clinches up against the cage. Porter drags the fight down to the ground.
Porter is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Logan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Porter is keeping the position for now. Porter is controlling Logan's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Porter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Porter working Logan over with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Porter is taking a breather. Logan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tom Porter has got the better of the ground game so far. Let's hope that Porter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Porter is trying to work for a kimura but Logan is defending well.
Porter controlling the action here. Porter trying to control from half guard but Logan is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Porter is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Porter decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Logan looks to clinch and Porter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Logan won't be happy with that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Porter decides to stand back up. Porter steps back and let's Logan get back to his feet. Logan misses with a takedown attempt - Porter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Donk. Porter catches Logan right on the button with a cross.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Logan as Porter shoots in. Logan misses with an attempted mid kick.
Porter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Porter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Logan trying to remain calm as Porter controls from the top position. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Porter. Porter in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Porter remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Porter stands up and beckons Logan to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Logan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Porter is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Logan's half guard. Porter seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Porter is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Porter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Eddie Logan's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Porter throws a series of punches but Logan moves out of range. Porter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Logan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Porter somewhat. Porter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Porter. A slapping leg kick lands for Porter.
Eddie Logan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Porter goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Porter shoots in for a takedown but Logan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Eddie Logan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Porter. Porter shoots and misses and Logan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A head kick from Logan lands but Porter takes it in his stride. Porter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Logan throws a head kick that misses. Porter drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Logan defends it well. Porter misses with a wild body shot. Logan throws a sloppy head kick and Porter moves out of range easily. Logan tries for a takedown but Porter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Logan stuffs the takedown. Logan wants to clinch. Porter is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Porter goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Logan misses with a takedown attempt and Porter counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Porter gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Porter controlling the pace. Logan is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Logan wants to control but Porter is keeping busy and won't allow it. Porter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Porter lands a nice short elbow. Logan is trying to escape back to his feet but Porter uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Porter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Porter stands up. Logan wants to clinch and Porter counters with a straight right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Porter throws a series of punches but Logan avoids them all with ease. Porter shoots in looking for a takedown. Logan tries to sprawl out of it but Porter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Logan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Porter goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Porter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Porter trying to control the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Logan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Porter is working away from the top position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Porter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Porter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
