Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ray Bundles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Flaherty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bundles kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is It's Tricky by Run DMC. The key to victory for Ray Bundles has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Bundles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Flaherty!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundles throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Flaherty takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Flaherty closes the distance and clinches up with Bundles, looking for a takedown. Flaherty pushes Bundles against the cage but Bundles circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bundles falls off balance throwing a combination
and Flaherty counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bundles!
Flaherty is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bundles will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Let's hope that Flaherty has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
You can see the frustration on Bundles's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bundles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Flaherty on the ground.
Flaherty stands up.
Flaherty shoots and misses
and Bundles counters with a stiff right hand.
Bundles gets in close and instigates a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flaherty misses with a body punch.

Bundles breaks from the clinch.
Bundles misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bundles throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Flaherty's head.
A telegraphed right hand from Flaherty misses the target.
Bundles forces Flaherty back against the cage and clinches.
Bundles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bundles moves into range and clinches up with Flaherty.
Bundles breaks from the clinch.
Bundles lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Flaherty walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bundles.
Flaherty misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Flaherty instigates a clinch.
Bundles breaks the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bundles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ray Bundles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Flaherty.
Flaherty shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bundles but Bundles pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Flaherty drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bundles throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Bundles throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Flaherty escapes and throws Bundles's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Flaherty has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bundles!
Bundles wants to hold on but Flaherty pushes him away.
Bundles is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Flaherty tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bundles is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Bundles tries to control Flaherty's head but Flaherty pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Bundles is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (armbar). Alex Flaherty!
Alex Flaherty tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
