Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kacperos Drygalos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kacperos Drygalos has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kacperos Drygalos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eric Walker!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker misses with a few strikes there.
Walker tries a head kick but it misses.

Drygalos definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Drygalos takes the fight into the clinch.
Walker lands a body shot in the clinch.

Drygalos turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Walker is looking to get back to his feet here but Drygalos is keeping cool and he's managed to take Walker's back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drygalos is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Walker is defending well though. Drygalos let's go of the attempt for now.

Walker lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Drygalos wants to take the fight to the mat but Walker manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Drygalos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Walker pushes off an throws an elbow but Drygalos leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Drygalos goes for a takedown in the clinch but Walker prevents it.

Drygalos with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Drygalos throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Walker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Drygalos avoids the head kick by Walker.
Walker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Drygalos.
Walker throws a head kick but Drygalos moves out of range.

Drygalos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Drygalos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Walker tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Drygalos has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Walker! Can he survive? No! He's out! Drygalos gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kacperos Drygalos!
A very excited looking Kacperos Drygalos made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
