Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ijsa Mohammed! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Nelson! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body punch from Nelson. Nelson drops Mohammed with a nice combination! Nelson dives into Mohammed's guard, looking to finish!
It looks like Ijsa Mohammed has been cut. Nelson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mohammed is keeping the position for now. Nelson throwing strikes but missing. Nelson won't allow Mohammed to get back to his feet. Nelson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mohammed is trying to buck Nelson off. Mohammed knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nelson on the ground. Nelson works to advance to full mount. Mohammed defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Mohammed is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Nelson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Mohammed is trying to stand up. Nelson throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Mohammed is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Mohammed trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Nelson with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Mohammed tries to buck Nelson off but he can't manage it. Nelson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mohammed has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Mohammed somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Mohammed rushes Nelson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mohammed smiles and moves away.
Mohammed fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mohammed lands a left and a right that sends Nelson crashing to the canvas! Mohammed dives into mount looking to finish!
It looks like Roger Nelson has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nelson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mohammed wants to get back to his feet but Nelson is holding on tight.
Mohammed tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Nelson working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Nelson tries to hold on but Mohammed pushes him away. Nelson is looking to get to half guard. Mohammed looking to control and managing it successfully. Mohammed wants to get back to his feet but Nelson is holding on tight.
Mohammed will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson tries to lock up and control but Mohammed gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Mohammed controlling the position easily from mount. Nelson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nelson wants to control but Mohammed is having none of it. Mohammed gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Nelson misses with a low kick.
Mohammed tries to clinch but Nelson is having none of it. Mohammed fails in his attempt to clinch. Nelson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Mohammed closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mohammed lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nelson backwards. Mohammed lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mohammed throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nelson blocks it with crossed arms. Mohammed is defending well against a takedown attempt. Mohammed with a knee to the head.

This has been an exciting period of action! Mohammed landing knees to the head.
Nelson is rocked! Mohammed misses with a knee to the head. Mohammed landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Nelson looks winded! Mohammed looking to throw knees to the head but Nelson is blocking nicely.
Mohammed with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
I was talking to Mohammed's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Mohammed tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Mohammed unloads a knee to the mid-section. Nelson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Mohammed lands an elbow inside. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mohammed throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nelson blocks it with crossed arms. Mohammed tries a knee to the head but Nelson blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ijsa Mohammed dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nelson is looking to slow Mohammed down with leg kicks. Mohammed needs to keep his hands up - Nelson had a free shot at his head there. Mohammed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nelson.
Mohammed slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Mohammed engages and cracks Nelson with a massive lead left hook - Nelson tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Mohammed is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
