Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joyo Kumlakar!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Reddington.

Kumlakar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kumlakar goes for a double leg but Reddington avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Reddington continues to drive forward.

Raymond Reddington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joyo Kumlakar.
Reddington lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Joyo Kumlakar has been cut.
Kumlakar's coach down at Better Alternative ($800/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kumlakar's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kumlakar takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Reddington looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Reddington gets caught flat footed, as Kumlakar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Reddington is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Reddington pushes Kumlakar off and scrambles back to his feet.

Reddington lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

No luck for Kumlakar with that takedown attempt.
Kumlakar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reddington avoids it really well and circles away.
Raymond Reddington is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reddington throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kumlakar on the side of the head.
Reddington is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kumlakar fails with a takedown attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Reddington enables Kumlakar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Reddington manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kumlakar drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reddington gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kumlakar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Reddington is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Reddington lands with an uppercut that bounces Kumlakar off the cage and back into range.

Kumlakar takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kumlakar takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Reddington thuds his right hand into Kumlakar's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Reddington lands with a nice combination. Kumlakar backs away looking to recover.

Reddington keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kumlakar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kumlakar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reddington sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kumlakar somewhat.

Kumlakar moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Reddington connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kumlakar drops his hands momentarily and Reddington takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Reddington drops Kumlakar with a beautiful combination! Kumlakar stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Reddington is looking for the KO!
Kumlakar is still on wobbly legs! Can Reddington finish him?
Reddington comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Reddington pounces like a tiger and cracks Kumlakar with a vicious hook! Kumlakar is down but not out! Reddington follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Raymond Reddington!
Raymond Reddington was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
