The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carney darts in and clinches Greer up against the cage.
Greer really is a fat lump.

Carney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Greer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carney won't be happy with that.

Greer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Carney sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Greer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carney, up you get!

That was a close round but I would say that Spencer Greer will probably get the nod.

The referee is keeping an eye on Greer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Carney is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Carney drags the fight down to the ground.
Ross Carney has got the better of the ground game so far.

Greer throws an elbow that misses. Carney uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Greer's guard. Nice move by Carney!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Greer has his foot on Carney's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carney works his way back into a safe position though.
Greer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Greer is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Carney loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Carney avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Greer looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Carney has picked Greer up and slammed him! Greer can't keep hold of the triangle and Carney manages to pass to side control!

It's a brutal combination of punches from Carney! Greer is backing up but he can't get away as Carney lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Greer and ends the fight. Great knockout.

After the fight, Ross Carney was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
