Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michel Sweet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michel Sweet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Dunn! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Dunn controlling the action here. Dunn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sweet sees it coming and defends easily. Dunn seems to be working for a kimura but Sweet defends the submission attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dunn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sweet with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
It looks like Michel Sweet has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunn content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Dunn wants to stand up but Sweet has a hold of him and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sweet won't allow Dunn to pass to mount. Dunn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sweet with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sweet is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dunn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dunn's back! Dunn is trying to get back to his feet but Sweet has full control of the position and if anything, Dunn has just worked his way into a worse spot. Sweet is not going to allow Dunn to sit and survive in this position. Sweet trying to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunn can't escape the position.
Dunn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sweet is punishing Dunn with some ground and pound. Sweet is hanging on to Dunn's back as he tries to escape.
Sweet controlling from the back. Sweet cracks Dunn with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Dunn from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweet gets his hands free as Dunn looks to control. Sweet keeps control of the position as Dunn tries to break free.
Sweet lands strikes to the head. Sweet trying to control. Sweet controls the position. Sweet throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Dunn!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dunn wants to control his opponent's hands but Sweet gets his hands free. Sweet trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Dunn trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Dunn is trying to break free.
Dunn looks winded! Dunn prevents Sweet from getting a body triangle. Sweet has good solid back control here. Sweet has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. You can see the frustration on Dunn's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Sweet just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michel Sweet dominated that round. The cut man is working on Michel Sweet's cut. That's time! Sweet's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dunn forces Sweet back against the cage and clinches. Sweet tries to pull guard but Dunn forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Dunn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dunn clinches with his opponent.
Dunn gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Sweet regains guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dunn's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Dunn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dunn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dunn postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dunn stays in close to Sweet's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweet is looking for a triangle but Dunn pushes his legs off easily.
Dunn tries to free his leg and advance position but Sweet is retaining full guard. Dunn trying to control but Sweet is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dunn slips nicely into half guard. Dunn wants to take a breather but Sweet is having none of it. Dunn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sweet defending well though. Sweet gets full guard. Dunn with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dunn chips away with some ground and pound. Dunn looking to pass the guard. Dunn wants to stand but Sweet has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweet shoots in and bounces Dunn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dunn has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sweet is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dunn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sweet tries to sprawl but Dunn drives through with a takedown into half guard. Dunn content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dunn decides to stand and escape the position. James Dunn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dunn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sweet to the ground. Dunn is now in Sweet's guard. Sweet pushes Dunn off and gets back to his feet.
Dunn dives in and scores a takedown into Sweet's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Dunn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Michel Sweet's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Sweet gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sweet wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Dunn manages to pass to side control. Dunn wants to control but Sweet is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dunn thows a huge punch but Sweet dodges it nicely.
Dunn tries to stand but can't do so whilst Sweet controls his leg. Dunn stalling away here and it's allowed Sweet to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweet working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dunn. Dunn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Dunn wants to control from the top but Sweet keeps moving. Dunn scoring with punches to the head and body. Dunn stands and steps away. Sweet gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A decent looking body kick lands there for Sweet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sweet avoids the head kick by Dunn.
Dunn drives through with a takedown into Sweet's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Dunn chips away with some ground and pound. Dunn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dunn trying to control but Sweet is working from the bottom. Dunn lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunn controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dunn is continuing to stall.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sweet instigates a clinch. Dunn has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sweet tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dunn breaks from the clinch.
Dunn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sweet manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Dunn sitting in guard here, content to control. Dunn trying to control the position from guard on top but Sweet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dunn looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
And that's the end of the fight! James Dunn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dunn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
