Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Lincoln (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackie Douthit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Abraham Lincoln!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jackie Douthit!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lincoln feints and then cracks Douthit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Douthit down.
Lincoln throws a head kick but Douthit moves out of range.
Douthit waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lincoln.
Lincoln went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Lincoln gets caught napping as Douthit dives in and scores a takedown. Lincoln manages to retain guard.
Lincoln tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lincoln is working hard here to advance position.
Douthit content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Douthit is looking to work some ground and pound but Lincoln has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lincoln tries a head kick but it misses.

Douthit shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lincoln wants to get back to full guard.
Lincoln knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Douthit on the ground.

Douthit thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lincoln's head.
Douthit thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Douthit slips a nice elbow through Lincoln's hands, connecting with Lincoln's forehead.
Douthit is keen to just control but Lincoln is a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Douthit lands a big shot there that rocks Lincoln but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Douthit gets control of Lincoln's arms and successfully pulls guard. Douthit will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lincoln seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lincoln not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Lincoln really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
