The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen takes the fight into the clinch. Allen lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Allen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sullivan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Len Sullivan's cut is getting worse. Allen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sullivan is looking to control Allen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sullivan avoid being mounted? Allen is nestled in close to Sullivan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Len Sullivan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Len Sullivan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
