PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dont Leave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Elvis Glass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dont Leave!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leave throws a right and a left that Glass avoids nicely.
Elvis Glass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leave thows a left - swing and a miss!
Leave swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Glass counter with a right hand.
Glass uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Leave.

Glass looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Leave is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Glass defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leave working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Glass doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Glass manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Glass looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Glass chips away with some ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Glass's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Glass stands and steps away. Leave gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Glass drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Glass is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Glass postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Glass working the head with strikes.
Glass takes a little break here. Leave wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Glass looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Leave avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Glass.

Glass is trying to get an arm triangle but Leave is defending well.
Leave tries to buck Glass off but Glass is having none of it.
Leave manages to work his way to half guard, despite Glass's best efforts.

Glass is looking for a kimura but Leave is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Glass to get the leverage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Glass is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Leave manages to get to full guard.
Glass has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Glass controls from within his opponent's guard.

Leave escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Glass gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Glass postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Glass won't allow Leave to sweep him here.
Glass not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Glass throws an elbow that misses. Leave uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Glass's guard. Nice move by Leave!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Elvis Glass dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Elvis Glass's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Leave misses with an uppercut.
Glass half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Leave fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Glass takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Glass ducks under a wild hook from Leave.
Glass takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Leave cracks a nice hook into Glass's ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leave instigates a clinch.
Leave lands with a right to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Leave makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Leave.
Leave lands with a left to the head.


Glass is rocked!
A left hand lands to the body for Leave.
Oh Glass is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leave unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Glass! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Leave is unloading with more strikes now! Glass drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dont Leave!
