Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Caleb Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Woodward Glass! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glass has managed to clinch.
Smith breaks from the clinch.
Smith looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Smith throws a head kick but Glass moves out of range.
Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Smith throws a head kick that Glass semi-blocks.
Smith lunges at Glass with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Glass's hand. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Glass lands an overhand right. Nice jab there from Glass. Glass misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Smith.
A jab from Glass misses. Glass tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center. Glass looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Glass rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith breaks the clinch.

Glass avoids a punch combination nicely.
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Glass drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Smith blocks an uppercut.
Smith using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Glass has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Glass throws a right and a left that both miss. Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jab, jab by Glass - just one landing. Smith instigates a clinch. Glass misses with a punch on the inside.

Glass tries to land knees in the clinch but Smith avoids the damage to the body. Glass lands a right hand that snaps the head of Smith backwards. Smith lands with a short shot to the head. Smith throws a punch but it's blocked by Glass. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Glass's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Smith working some nice short punches in the clinch. Smith lands on the inside with an uppercut. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Glass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Glass tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Smith throws a punch but it's blocked by Glass. Smith blocking some punches.
Smith makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Glass looking to slow down the pace here. Glass misses with a punch on the inside.
Glass swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A short right from Smith. Still in the clinch, Smith scores with a nice short uppercut. Glass throws a head punch that misses. Smith lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Glass scores with a nice hook to the head. Smith breaks the clinch.
Smith throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Glass.
Smith paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Glass tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Glass. Smith closes the distance and pushes Glass back into the cage. Smith controlling the action here for a moment.
Smith is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. A short uppercut from Smith. Glass is trying to maintain a safe position but Smith gets an underhook and turns Glass into the cage. Glass misses with some punches.
A nice left hand lands by Smith.
Glass slowing the pace effectively. Smith misses with an elbow over the top. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Smith.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith misses with a punch on the inside.
Nice elbow from Smith. Glass struggles to land a body shot inside as Smith controls his hands.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Glass walks into a left hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Glass avoids the head kick by Smith.
Glass tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Glass. Glass wants to clinch. Smith cracks Glass with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Glass is rocked! Smith sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Glass's defenses. It connects perfectly with Glass's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Caleb Smith! In his post fight interview, Caleb Smith started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. Woodward Glass spoke after the fight, saying 'I know I'm a can, but it pays the bills.'.
