Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Mckenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Raefon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mad Raefon will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Glen Mckenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mad Raefon!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raefon misses with a few strikes there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mckenzie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mckenzie really is a fat lump.

Mckenzie clinches up with Raefon and pushes him back against the cage.
Raefon blocking some punches.
Raefon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Mckenzie is trying to pull guard but Raefon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mckenzie keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Raefon's efforts to push away.

Raefon is trying to break the clinch but Mckenzie has him pressed against the cage.
Raefon is looking to break free of the clinch but Mckenzie has double underhooks.

A frustrated look appears on Raefon's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

That was a close round but I would say that Glen Mckenzie will probably get the nod.

Raefon stalks Mckenzie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mckenzie's face. Mckenzie staggers backwards, shaken.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Raefon. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Mckenzie is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Raefon to keep the fight standing.
Raefon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mckenzie will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Raefon up against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Raefon looks to land a combination but Mckenzie avoids it well.

Mckenzie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Raefon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Raefon throws a right hand that Mckenzie ducks under and follows up with a left that Mckenzie also avoids with ease.
Raefon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Mad Raefon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Mckenzie is pushing Raefon up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Mckenzie's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Raefon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Mckenzie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Raefon has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mckenzie is on him like a limpet, forcing Raefon back against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Glen Mckenzie.
I think Mckenzie has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
