Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darnell Malone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone tries to keep at a distance but Hetfiled has taken the fight into the clinch.
Malone wants to take the fight to the mat but Hetfiled manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Hetfiled gets control of Malone's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hetfiled will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hetfiled is trying to control the position but Malone postures up.
Malone really is a fat lump.
Malone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hetfiled tries to strike from the bottom.
Malone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hetfiled looking for subs off his back but Malone has passed one foot through into half guard.

Malone has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hetfiled has momentary wrist control but Malone slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malone is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hetfiled is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hetfiled has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hetfiled is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Malone is on top in guard.
Malone is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hetfiled is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hetfiled has escaped and now he's on top!
Malone seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Brock Hetfiled dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hetfiled shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Malone napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Malone sneaks back into half guard.
Malone on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
It looks like Darnell Malone has been cut.
Malone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hetfiled is working away from the top position though.
Hetfiled wants to control but Malone is keeping him busy.

Hetfiled seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Malone does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Malone is controlling Hetfiled's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Malone is pressing down on Hetfiled's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Hetfiled trying to control the position from guard on top but Malone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hetfiled is fighting to break Malone's control of his arms but Malone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Malone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hetfiled's guard.
Malone with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hetfiled throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Malone escapes and throws Hetfiled's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Hetfiled manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Hetfiled is breathing heavily.
Hetfiled wants to improve his position but Malone is controlling well.

Hetfiled is defending against the submission attempts here by Malone.
Hetfiled is trying to maintain the position but Malone is very close to passing his half guard.
Hetfiled tries to get to full guard but Malone has control of the leg.

Hetfiled looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hetfiled has a hand on Malone's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Malone takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Malone stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Malone is defended easily by Hetfiled.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hetfiled gets a takedown into half guard.
Malone wants to improve his position but Hetfiled is controlling well.

Brock Hetfiled showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Hetfiled throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Malone tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hetfiled is in Malone's guard.

Hetfiled is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hetfiled is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Malone is aware though and is defending well.
Hetfiled takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Malone stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hetfiled feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Malone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hetfiled is trying to control the position but Malone postures up.
Malone prevents Hetfiled from getting back to his feet.

Malone seems to be working for a kimura but Hetfiled defends the submission attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hetfiled trying to control but Malone postures up.
Malone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hetfiled with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Malone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hetfiled sees it coming and defends easily.
Darnell Malone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brock Hetfiled is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Malone looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darnell Malone.
Well Hetfiled has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
