Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Seth Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Madrigal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Madrigal has chosen Lil Jon-Throw it Up as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Seth Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 18 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Julio Madrigal! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris throws a head kick but Madrigal moves out of range.
Madrigal drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Harris defends it well. Madrigal is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Madrigal lunges at Harris with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Harris's hand. An inside leg kick from Harris misses. Madrigal slips under a jab from Harris. Madrigal takes a swing at Harris's ribcage but misses. Harris delivers a nice body kick. Harris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Madrigal feints the counter takedown. Harris throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Madrigal tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Harris fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Madrigal has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Harris keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Harris misses with an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harris throws a front kick that sends Madrigal stumbling back into the cage. Madrigal smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Madrigal connects with a body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Madrigal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harris was well out of range. Poor timing from Madrigal. Harris attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madrigal scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Harris leaves Madrigal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Madrigal cracks Harris with a right hand to the side of the head. A big left from Harris misses. Harris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Madrigal's corner calls for a 1-2. Madrigal obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Harris connects with a high kick. Madrigal scores with a three punch combo!
Madrigal moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Madrigal throws a good cross that connects.

Harris thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Madrigal if he has to take too many more of those.

Harris throws a counter high kick but Madrigal was just alert enough to avoid it. Madrigal lands with a right hand. Harris takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Madrigal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harris's waist but Harris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Madrigal off to one side. Seth Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julio Madrigal. Harris takes a swing at Madrigal's ribcage but misses. Madrigal drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Harris defends it well. Harris throws a head kick that misses. Harris connects with a high kick. Harris throws a leg kick which misses Madrigal's front leg but catches the back leg as Madrigal tries to avoid it. Madrigal fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Madrigal throws a shot from downtown. Harris moves away and avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good work by Madrigal as he checks the leg kick. Harris takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Madrigal is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Harris uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Madrigal. Harris misses with a hook

Madrigal is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Harris had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Madrigal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Harris is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Seth Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harris slaps away a takedown attempt from Madrigal, before circling back to the center of the mat. Harris appears to be looking for a big counter. Good standup being displayed there by Madrigal as he connects with a hook. Madrigal lands a really nice looking cross but Harris seems unphased.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Madrigal with a nice cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Harris throws a body shot but no joy. Harris gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Madrigal to score an easy takedown into full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Harris looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Madrigal lands a couple of elbows. Madrigal scoring with some ground and pound. Harris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Madrigal defends well. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Madrigal working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Madrigal dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

and Madrigal counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Harris! Harris is working to avoid the ground and pound but Madrigal connects with a decent elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Madrigal working the ground and pound. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Madrigal scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Harris to see if he's OK. Madrigal working the head with strikes. Madrigal lands a decent elbow from side control. Madrigal working the head and body with strikes. Madrigal in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Madrigal has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harris wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Madrigal has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Harris's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Harris is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Madrigal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Julio Madrigal! In his post fight interview, Julio Madrigal started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
