Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iwan Matwijenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Sun God Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matwijenko comes to the cage accompanied by RANDORI!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Iwan Matwijenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, The Sun God Ra! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matwijenko on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ra misses with a right hand and Matwijenko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ra throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Matwijenko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ra swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Matwijenko. Ra looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Matwijenko feints and then cracks Ra's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ra down. Nice uppercut lands for Ra. That snapped Matwijenko's head back.
Matwijenko blocks a jab. Matwijenko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ra throws out the jab. Ra misses with a wild combination.
And Matwijenko counters with a quick kick to the body but Ra blocks it. Ra looks to throw the jab but Matwijenko is out of range. Ra is looking to clinch but Matwijenko is avoiding it.
Ra misses with a straight right. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matwijenko swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ra drives through and clinches with Matwijenko against the cage.
Ra lands an elbow inside that Matwijenko shrugs off. Ra using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Matwijenko has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

It looks like The Sun God Ra has been cut. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ra just misses with a elbow thrown towards Matwijenko's brow. Matwijenko manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matwijenko listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Matwijenko lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Ra rushes Matwijenko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Matwijenko manages to break the clinch.
Matwijenko walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Some wild striking there from Matwijenko.
Matwijenko throws a looping overhand right but Ra ducks down to avoid it. Matwijenko slips a straight right by Ra. Matwijenko was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Ra throws a body shot but no joy. Matwijenko throws a quick inside leg kick. Matwijenko drops Ra with a beautiful combination! Ra stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Matwijenko is looking for the KO! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ra scores with a hook. Ra takes a swing at Matwijenko's ribcage but misses. Ra throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Matwijenko. Ra lands with a shot to the body. Matwijenko bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Ra tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Matwijenko to counter with a crisp jab.
Ra is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matwijenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ra moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ra has closed the distance and engaged Matwijenko in a clinch.
Matwijenko creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Ra lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Matwijenko missing with knees to the body.
Matwijenko wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ra using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Matwijenko has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Matwijenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ra throws a jab but it's blocked by Matwijenko. Nice uppercut lands for Matwijenko. That snapped Ra's head back.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Iwan Matwijenko! After the fight, Iwan Matwijenko was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. The defeated The Sun God Ra had this to say: 'This was my Win and it got stolen from me, Ill be back to take that belt'.
