Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergey Nevzlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergey Nevzlin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scotty Ruiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sergey Nevzlin! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nevzlin with a body punch. A glancing blow. Nevzlin misses with a low kick. Nevzlin is looking to score with low kicks. It looked like Ruiz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Ruiz drops his hands momentarily and Nevzlin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Nevzlin throws a low kick but Ruiz avoids it. Ruiz rushes Nevzlin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ruiz stalls. Ruiz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Nevzlin gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nevzlin wants to stall.
Ruiz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A short uppercut from Nevzlin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruiz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ruiz has Nevzlin pushed against the cage. Ruiz is struggling to control the position. Come on Ruiz - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Nevzlin lands with a light punch inside. Ruiz's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Ruiz is rocked! Nevzlin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Oh Ruiz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ruiz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nevzlin just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scotty Ruiz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nevzlin unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Ruiz! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Nevzlin is unloading with more strikes now! Ruiz drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
