Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Luciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miller Gozu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucas Luciano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Miller Gozu!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luciano tries to move into range but Gozu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Luciano takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gozu misses with an uppercut.
Luciano feinted with a counter takedown.
Gozu throws a chopping leg kick but Luciano manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Luciano appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Gozu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Gozu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gozu throws a series of punches but Luciano moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Luciano blocks the low kick.
Nice cross by Gozu.
Miller Gozu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gozu connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Decent striking displayed by Gozu there.
Some wild striking there from Gozu.
Luciano drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gozu sprawls and moves away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A low kick from Gozu misses

and Luciano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gozu's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Luciano is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Luciano has gone for a leg lock! Gozu slips out almost immediately though and dives into Luciano's guard.

Gozu loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Luciano manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gozu manages to get himself to full guard.

Gozu is controlling Luciano's posture.
Luciano tries to free his leg and advance position but Gozu is retaining full guard.

Luciano postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gozu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Luciano, into his guard.

Luciano can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gozu controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gozu wants to control from the top but Luciano keeps moving.

Luciano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gozu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gozu stays in close to Luciano's body and controls the position.
It looks like Gozu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Luciano looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gozu is one step ahead there.
Gozu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Luciano is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gozu preventing the sweep.
Gozu trying to control the position from guard on top but Luciano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gozu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Luciano haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Luciano is on top in guard.


Gozu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Luciano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Luciano drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gozu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gozu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gozu!

Luciano is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Luciano is looking to regain half guard here but Gozu keeps moving and retains side control.
Gozu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Luciano keeps working.
Gozu is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Luciano tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gozu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Luciano is not content to let Gozu control the position.
Luciano tries to improve position but can't.
Gozu is looking to take a break and control but Luciano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Luciano prevents Gozu from improving position.
Luciano is trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller Gozu dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Luciano drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Gozu tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Luciano is able to avoid easily.
Gozu lands an overhand right.
Gozu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gozu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gozu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Luciano.
Luciano gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Gozu scores with a nice head shot.


Luciano is rocked!
Gozu connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Luciano! He's out on his feet! Gozu rushes in and drops Luciano with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Miller Gozu!
A relieved looking Miller Gozu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
