Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Lozoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Lozoya looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Lozoya! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson is looking to clinch but Lozoya is avoiding it.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lozoya shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Lozoya's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard. Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jackson stands up over Lozoya, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Lozoya is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson controlling from the top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lozoya being controlled here, momentarily. Jackson wants to stand but Lozoya has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jackson sitting in guard here, content to control. Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lozoya controls Jackson momentarily but Jackson frees himself. Lozoya looks gassed! Jackson looking to pass the guard. Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lozoya is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jackson controls from within his opponent's guard. Jackson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Jackson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Joshua Jackson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jackson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Lozoya is retaining full guard. Jackson thows a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jackson forces his way into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joshua Jackson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jackson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jackson controlling his opponent. Jackson dominating with strikes here. Jackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lozoya's face.
Jackson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Lozoya is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Lozoya is forced to tap!
