Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deleon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Benson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Deleon was covering up waiting for the punch and Benson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Deleon wants to sweep but no luck.
Deleon keeping full guard, as Benson tries to pass.
Deleon scores with a short punch from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deleon manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Deleon jumps into guard, dragging Benson to the mat.

Benson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Deleon controls his leg.
Benson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Deleon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, if Benson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Deleon wants to improve his position but Benson is controlling well.
Deleon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Benson wants to take a breather but Deleon is having none of it.
Benson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Deleon!
Benson wants to finish this one by submission but Deleon is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Benson.
Deleon tries to lock up and control but Benson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Benson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Deleon manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Deleon wants to get back to his feet but Benson drags him back down.
Benson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Deleon enables Benson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Deleon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Deleon is looking to stand back up but Benson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Deleon.

Benson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Deleon makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Benson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Deleon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Benson dives in and scores a takedown into Deleon's guard.
Deleon manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Matt Benson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Benson forces Deleon back against the cage and clinches.
Deleon tries to pull guard but Benson holds him up against the cage and eventually Deleon drops back down to his feet.
Benson lands a body shot.
Deleon jumps into guard, dragging Benson to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Matt Benson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Benson drives through and clinches with Deleon against the cage.
Benson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Deleon is keeping busy.

Deleon seems keen to control Benson's posture.
Deleon wants to stand but Benson is controlling the position.

Deleon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Benson on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Benson is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Benson!
