Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaedo Neal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Neal might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to New Level by Future. Kaedo Neal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaedo Neal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerry Smith! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neal takes a body punch but keeps moving. Smith wants to clinch up but Neal keeps it at a distance. It looked like Neal wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Smith looks to land a right hand but Neal moved out of range. Neal has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Neal was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith. Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
Neal has a takedown stuffed. Smith now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Neal walks into a left hand. Neal throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease. Decent striking displayed by Smith there. Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Neal. Smith smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Neal misses with a wild body shot. Smith misses with an uppercut. Neal saw that one coming. An attempted straight right counter from Neal misses the target. Smith avoids the body shot from Neal.
Smith uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Smith scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smith uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Neal. Smith fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Neal's waist but Neal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side. A shot to the liver by Neal. Beautiful body shot. Jerry Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neal misses with a looping right. Neal lands a really nice looking cross but Smith seems unphased.
Smith tests Neal's chin there with a solid looking shot. Neal looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range. Neal takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Smith moves in looking to clinch but Neal pushes him off. Neal scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Neal walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Smith throws a hook but Neal blocks it. Nice cross by Smith. Smith tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Neal was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Neal. Smith misses with a hook to the body
and Neal counters with a nice right hand that sends Smith toppling to the canvas! Smith scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Neal finish him?!
Smith is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Neal looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Neal finish him? Smith rushes Neal and presses him up against the cage.

Smith seems to have recovered his senses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaedo Neal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neal misses with a hook to the ribs.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Smith manages to pull guard.
Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Neal is aware though and is defending well. Neal preventing the sweep. Smith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Neal defends it easily. Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Neal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Neal stands up over Smith, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Neal content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Neal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Neal is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neal not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Neal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Neal avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Neal gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Neal wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving. Neal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! A close round but Jerry Smith will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neal swivels though and keeps the full guard. Smith looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Neal, up you get! Smith tries to clinch up. Smith misses with a body shot.
Smith takes one to the chin there. Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Neal swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.

Smith drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Smith cracks Neal with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Nice defenses there by Smith. Neal feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Smith sprawling to the canvas! Smith rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Neal finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neal tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Neal looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. A punch combination from Neal misses. Neal walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Neal is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've been informed that Smith has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Neal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it. Neal moves away from the strike by Smith. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Neal. Nice straight punches there by Smith. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smith. Neal scores with a jab to the jaw. Smith tries to clinch but Neal moves out of range. A big right from Smith misses. Neal drops Smith with a beautiful combination! Smith stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Neal is looking for the KO! Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Smith lands with an overhand left. Neal drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Smith right on the button. Smith goes down! Neal follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Neal gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaedo Neal! After the fight, Kaedo Neal was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
