Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsu Kazuhiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazuhiro has chosen BUSHIDO as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fernando Luiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Katsu Kazuhiro! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazuhiro keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Luiz. Kazuhiro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Luiz misses the shot to the body. Luiz lands with a cross. Luiz closes the distance and clinches. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Luiz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kazuhiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Luiz is just out of range. Luiz throws a hook to the side of Kazuhiro's head but Kazuhiro sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kazuhiro drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Luiz has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kazuhiro gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Luiz. Kazuhiro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kazuhiro has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Luiz darts in trying to clinch enabling Kazuhiro to counter with a crisp jab. Fernando Luiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luiz misses with a hook. Kazuhiro ducked under it nicely. Kazuhiro lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Luiz rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kazuhiro counters with a nice body shot. Luiz misses with an uppercut. Kazuhiro saw that one coming. A swing and a miss from Luiz. And Kazuhiro tries to counter it with a takedown but Luiz pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kazuhiro throws a wild hook but Luiz just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Kazuhiro gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Luiz raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
