Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sjaardsen Hooj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spiros Saravakos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Sjaardsen Hooj has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sjaardsen Hooj! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spiros Saravakos! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saravakos misses with a hook
and Saravakos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hooj looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hooj cracks Saravakos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Saravakos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hooj. Hooj walks into a stiff left hand from Saravakos. Saravakos uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Hooj misses with a hook. Hooj steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Saravakos. Spiros Saravakos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Saravakos. Horrible takedown attempt by Saravakos or perhaps it was just good defense by Hooj, which made it look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saravakos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hooj looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Saravakos trying to control the position but Hooj is working away. Hooj is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saravakos tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. A bit of a lull in the action here. Hooj sneaks back into half guard. Saravakos throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Saravakos trying to control from half guard but Hooj is working away. Saravakos trying to pass the guard but Hooj defending well. Hooj regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Saravakos.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Saravakos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hooj works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Saravakos looking to sit in guard and control but Hooj gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Saravakos looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hooj trying to control but Saravakos is working from the bottom. Saravakos is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Hooj wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hooj ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saravakos moves away. Hooj lands a right hook to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hooj lands with a hook. Saravakos tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Saravakos closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hooj did well to prevent Saravakos getting side control. Saravakos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hooj wants to sweep here but Saravakos controlling him for the moment. Saravakos throws a strike but Hooj rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hooj looking to pass the guard. Hooj seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hooj trying to control but Saravakos is working from the bottom. That was a close round but I would say that Sjaardsen Hooj will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Hooj appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Saravakos misses the body punch enabling Hooj to counter with a crisp jab. Saravakos slips a jab from Hooj. Saravakos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hooj. Saravakos with the counter takedown but Hooj avoids it easily. Saravakos stuns Hooj with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Saravakos defending well as Hooj loads up on a big left hand. Saravakos changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Hooj jabs Saravakos to the body, keeping him at a distance. Sjaardsen Hooj is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. That's going to take a lot out of Spiros Saravakos. Saravakos tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A nice left hand lands by Hooj.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hooj regains half guard. Saravakos wants to free his trapped foot but Hooj is holding on for dear life with his legs. Saravakos trying to control from Hooj's half guard. Hooj has other ideas though and has regained full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hooj is on top in guard.

Sjaardsen Hooj dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fighters circling - Hooj throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hooj sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Saravakos has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Hooj fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saravakos manages to avoid it. Saravakos misses with a right hand and Hooj counters with a straight right hand. Saravakos lands with an overhand left. Saravakos darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Hooj bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Saravakos's guard. Hooj trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Spiros Saravakos has got the better of the ground game so far. Saravakos wants to sweep here but Hooj controlling him for the moment. Spiros Saravakos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hooj tries to free his leg and advance position but Saravakos is retaining full guard. Saravakos looking to control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hooj wants to get up but he can't break Saravakos's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Saravakos lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hooj has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hooj and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Saravakos misses with a lunging right hand
and Hooj connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Saravakos misses with a right hand letting Hooj counter with a right hand. Hooj lands with a right hand. Saravakos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hooj. Hooj cracks a nice hook into Saravakos's ribs. Saravakos moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hooj cracks a nice hook into Saravakos's ribs.
And that's the end of the fight! Sjaardsen Hooj showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hooj, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Sjaardsen Hooj wins by unanimous decision! Sjaardsen Hooj tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
