Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lionel Weiss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anderson Jezza! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weiss rushes Jezza and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A head punch on the inside from Weiss fails to land. Weiss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Weiss connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Weiss fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jezza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jezza controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jezza looking to pass the guard. Jezza preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jezza is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Weiss wants to hit a switch here but Jezza passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Weiss there! Weiss can't escape the position.

Weiss tries to roll over but Jezza keeps him under control. Jezza moves into full mount! Weiss won't be happy about that! Jezza seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Weiss is holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jezza tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jezza's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Weiss is working to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Weiss sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Jezza dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Jezza. Weiss is looking to reverse the position. Jezza controls the position. Weiss tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jezza wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jezza advances nicely into full mount. Anderson Jezza has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weiss is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jezza biding his time, looking for the opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Weiss tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jezza controlling from the full mount. Jezza is standing up, even though he is in mount. Jezza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jezza throws a hook but Weiss blocks it. Weiss appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Weiss moves in looking to clinch but Jezza pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jezza dives in and scores a takedown into Weiss's guard. Weiss is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Weiss is trying to work for a kimura but Jezza is defending well.
Weiss is thwarting Jezza's attempts to control the position. Jezza is defending against the submission attempts here by Weiss.
Jezza wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weiss is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jezza has managed to free his arm - good work. Jezza is doing well to control the position and prevent Weiss from advancing to side control. Weiss is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jezza moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jezza wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Jezza showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Jezza looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Weiss has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jezza has passed into side control.
Jezza stands up and beckons Weiss to his feet. Weiss shoots in for a takedown but Jezza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Weiss chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jezza can pounce on him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weiss fails with a takedown attempt. Despite the aggression on Jezza's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jezza shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jezza was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jezza is staying tight to Weiss's torso, preventing him from escaping. Let's hope that Jezza has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jezza passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Weiss!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weiss is looking to improve his position but Jezza isn't that keen on the idea. Jezza controlling the pace for now. Jezza is continuing to stall. Jezza has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Weiss looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Weiss is really stuck here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jezza controlling from the back. Weiss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jezza controlling well, preventing Weiss from escaping the position.
